Are you a writer or artist intrigued by the intersection of AI and human creativity? We invite you to submit your work to a new anthology exploring how modern AI tools will benefit, hinder, or harm creativity. All points of view on the matter are welcome.
Creative Machines – Anthology Guidelines
● Theme: How will creativity benefit or be harmed by the advent of modern AI tools like Large Language Models? Are you still not sure? Explore those ideas in your work, with or without a conclusion.
● Tone/Goals: Works can be from any perspective as long as it’s respectful of others. The collection is about exploring ideas and experiences with AI in the creative process, writing, and how you feel about this technology.
● Eligible Works: Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual art.
● Written Submissions: Must be between 100 and 3,000 words. Original works composed for this collection or previously unpublished pieces are required. Please no simultaneous submissions. Please note that all submissions should disclose how generative AI was fairly and ethically used in assisting with composition. For more information, please see below.
● Artwork: Original works created for this collection or pieces that have not yet been featured in another publication. Artwork should be suitable for a 5×7 inch book size.
● Entry Fee: $8 USD per submission. Paid Credtent users get a free submission.
● Deadline: November 15, 2024. Contributors will be notified by December 15, 2024.

Rewards
Creators whose work is chosen for publication will receive a digital copy of the anthology and a free annual license of Credtent AI protection (which must be claimed by 12/31/24).
Important Information
● Publication: The book will be published independently and will also be available on Amazon to reach a wider audience.
● Rights: Authors and artists regain all rights to reprint their work six months after the publication of the anthology.
● Human-Created Content: Submissions must be free from AI composition. Fair use of AI tools (e.g., for research, grammar) is allowed. For guidelines on what qualifies as Human-Created Content, please refer to the Credtent Content Origin Guide, available for free on the Credtent website.
● Judges: Our judging panel will be announced in late September.
Submission Requirements
- This project is sponsored by Credtent, Inc. All proceeds go to promotion of the anthology and the labor of the editors. You may submit up to two entries for the anthology. Your submission should be previously unpublished.
- A third person bio for you: 100 words max
- Please format your submission: – 12pt Times New Roman, Double-spaced, Include your Title, and byline as you would like it to read on the first page of your submission.
- Submit your file: Google Doc, Pages, .DOC or .DOCX formats are acceptable.
- File name for submissions: LastnameFirstname_Submission_Title.Doc (e.g. ButlerOctavia_Bloodchild.doc)
Your paid submission fee entitles you to receive a complimentary digital ebook copy of the Creative Machines Anthology and a discount code to buy a physical copy. Published contributors will receive a physical copy of the book and support materials to promote their participation in the project.
